Istio will have a strong presence at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2026 in Amsterdam. Highlights include four Cloud Native Theater sessions on March 24 covering real-world Istio production experiences, Bloomberg's zero-downtime multi-cluster migration from ingress-nginx to Istio, ambient mesh adoption, and AI inference serving with Istio and LLM-D. Additional recommended sessions cover topics like Skyscanner's 60M requests/minute mesh setup, encryption in Kubernetes, and sidecar-less tracing costs. Attendees can also meet maintainers at the Istio kiosk in the Project Pavilion.
