Nah, i think it is the other way around.

Angular is not beginners choice. New dev would not start with it. It is overly complexed.

I Believe over time Svelte will crush them both.

Angular is pretty solid and complete for scalable and robust applications with core concepts and material design.
React on the other hand could be easily replaced by any library-like javascript framework that shine brighter, since it’s not tied to any particular “unreplaceble” toolkit, as it is heavy library-dependent.
I don’t think it’s fair think one would “kill” the other since each has their own approach.
