Agile, once the dominant methodology for software development and business operations, is facing scrutiny as many organizations report poor outcomes from its implementation. The problem often lies in superficial adoption, leading to failed transformations and disillusionment. The solution may lie in focusing less on rigid frameworks and more on desired outcomes and team behaviors, promoting true agility over mere adherence to Agile principles.

Is Agile over?

The agile that I’ve experienced have very little concern for customers.

Agile become with time too rigid. All those meetings done to make process happy, plannings taking 2 hours where stories are written in way “I know what I mean”, not doing stuff because “Product not decided yet”.
By some time in 2 companies during retros we were trying to put stuff we found on graph where one axis was “pain”, and second “how much influence we have over this” and usually on 3rd retro we were founding out that we have now only stuff which has high pain and low chances to change it ;-)
Also Scrum Maters, this professional kind made a lot of problems, but as it was fad with this that everywhere in industry we had scrum masters, now this whole with agile being over is also fad, corpo loves something to see it as silver bullet. We had “polyglot” developers, we had craftsmanship instead of engineering, we had engineering, we had Agile/Scrum, finally those are people, and old true rule “garbage in -&gt; garbage out”

Coz SAFe isn’t Agile. They took the name to sell this dung for corps.

The story tries to be cute without saying much of anything.

There are leaders who have experienced Agile principles leading to better results, and there are leaders that have been shown sh*t like SAFe and associate it with Agile, but it’s just a bunch of grifters using the word Agile to sell a product, which is the complete opposite of Agile - SAFe is full-fledged bureaucracy system, with no real Accountability anywhere, and if you do a quick search, SAFe doesn’t even mention Feedback as a thing anywhere in their model. :D
Agile - is like an amendment to laws that are recognized as unfunctional and using individuals to evaluate what works and what doesn’t, instead of relying on frameworks.
