IrisGo is a startup backed by Andrew Ng's AI Fund ($2.8M seed, also backed by Nvidia and Google) building a proactive AI desktop companion for PCs. Co-founded by former Apple Siri engineer Jeffrey Lai, Iris watches a user's desktop activity, learns their workflows, and automates repetitive tasks without repeated prompting. It includes a built-in skills library (email drafting, invoice processing, report building), a coding assistant, and emphasizes on-device processing for privacy. The app recently launched in beta for macOS and Windows, and has secured a preinstall deal with Acer.
