using vscode while having arch(btw)? Oh you better believe that’s pissing off every vscode hater 🤣. But still, give neovim a try, it’s more lightweight and like you mentioned, if you want to do a quick edit to a file, you can use neovim instead of nano and even when you want to open the whole project, just use neovim, it has a plugin for file explorering too, so you get all what you need in a normal vscode config but with less bloat. But if you still want something modern, I recently started giving zed a try and honestly, it’s good enough, I mean it doesn’t melt my 8GB RAM so it’s good, unlike somebody who likes turning my PC into a barbecue(looking at you vscode).

+1 for Zed. I switched more than a year ago and I didn’t open VSCode since. Minimal theme and some language servers installed, but besides that it is default.
Also you can set up VSCode or vim keyboard shortcuts based on your preferences.

Is NodeJs a language 🤔?
