Apple has released iOS 26.5 beta 2 to developers and public beta testers. Key changes include Apple Maps introducing location-based ads (similar to App Store ads), new suggested places and updated icons in Maps, removal of the notification forwarding option, and fixes for Text to Siri suggestions and keyboard alignment issues in FreeForm. Some visual glitches remain, such as animation stutters when swiping up from notification center or unlocking the device, though overall performance and ProMotion smoothness are improved.
