iOS 26.5 Beta 1 has arrived with several notable changes. RCS messaging now includes end-to-end encryption (in beta, not fully stable yet), with visual indicators showing whether a message is encrypted. Apple Intelligence and Siri have launched in beta in China, though Siri 2.0 is not yet included. Notification forwarding to third-party devices like cars or watches is now available in settings. Apple Maps shows suggested places in preparation for upcoming paid ads. The Magnifier app has code hinting at future parental approval controls. Several wallpaper bugs have been fixed, including the dimming/desaturation issue when swiping home. Siri 2.0 may arrive with Beta 2 in the coming weeks.
