iOS 26.3 (a) Security Update is Out! - What's New? - iOS 26.3 a Beta Background Security Update released to developers and betas testers.  This is the first Background Security Update and is a test for what seems to be the replacement of Rapid Security Updates.  iOS 26.3 bring Android Transfer and notification updates for 3rd party devices and much more. iOS 26.3 is not just focused on iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, but also has updates for all iPhones as well. iOS 26.3a beta is a background security improvement update released to developers on iOS 26.3 beta 1. The update is for testing purposes only and contains no actual security fixes. It can be found under Settings > Privacy & Security > Background Security Improvements. The update introduces a new installation mechanism that appears to replace the previous rapid security updates feature. No new features, performance changes, or bug fixes are included in this release, and developers are still waiting for iOS 26.3 beta 2.
