IonQ announced the acquisition of Seed Innovations, a Colorado-based software and technology R&D firm, to strengthen its quantum computing platform with enhanced AI and software capabilities. Seed Innovations' team will join IonQ's Quantum Infrastructure business, bringing expertise in machine learning, advanced software architecture, DevOps, and cloud migration to help manage and scale complex quantum workloads. The acquisition is part of IonQ's broader strategy to build a full-stack quantum platform encompassing compute, networking, sensing, and security, joining a portfolio of recent strategic acquisitions including Skyloom, Vector Atomic, and SkyWater Technology. The transaction is expected to close on January 30, 2026.
