Portkey is launching Agent Gateway, a production infrastructure layer that sits between AI agents and the outside world. It provides governance and access control scoped per agent, team, and user; full observability including MCP call traces and 40+ metrics; automatic fallbacks and load balancing; security guardrails including PII/PHI filtering; a unified auth model supporting API keys, JWT, and RBAC; and an Agent Registry serving as a service catalog for deployed agents. The product is available in beta and targets enterprises running autonomous agents at scale.
