Cypress has launched Studio AI, a new feature that extends Cypress Studio by analyzing DOM changes between recorded test steps and generating Smart Recommendations — AI-powered assertion suggestions based on visible UI differences. Each recommendation includes a short explanation, generated Cypress code, and before/after DOM snapshots. Developers can accept, reject, or modify suggestions individually or in bulk. The feature supports assertions for visibility changes, element existence, text content, form values, attributes, and URL changes. Sensitive fields like passwords are excluded from AI processing. Studio AI requires Cypress 15.11.0+, sourcemaps enabled, and a Cypress Cloud account. It is available on all Cloud tiers including free, with per-user hourly limits, and is included at no extra cost during beta.
