Octopus Deploy has introduced Starter Policies in Platform Hub, a feature that lowers the barrier to writing Rego-based governance policies for deployments. A guided wizard lets users pick from pre-built policy templates for common compliance scenarios, auto-generates boilerplate Rego code with inline comments, and provides syntax highlighting. A detailed example shows how to enforce mandatory approval workflows in Production environments, covering policy scope, conditions, and violation actions (Block or Warning). All policy evaluations are recorded in an audit log. The feature is available on the Enterprise tier.
