DigitalOcean Container Registry now supports multiple registries per team for Professional Plan customers at no additional cost. Teams can create up to 10 registries, each with independent repositories and configurations. This enables environment isolation (dev/staging/prod), regional performance optimization by co-locating images with Kubernetes clusters, and regulatory compliance through data residency controls. The feature is accessible via updated API endpoints (v2/registries), doctl CLI commands, and Terraform provider. Key use cases include segregating deployment stages, reducing latency and data transfer costs, and meeting GDPR requirements by storing container artifacts in specific geographical jurisdictions.
