Tigris Object Storage now offers four bucket location types: Global, Multi-region, Dual-region, and Single-region. Multi-region buckets (recommended default) replicate data across regions within a chosen geography (USA or EUR) at $0.025/GB/month with strong consistency and free egress. Dual-region lets teams pin data to two specific named regions for compliance, active/active architectures, or warm DR setups, billed at $0.02/GB/month per region. Single-region is the most cost-effective option for staging or single-region workloads. The feature addresses GDPR and data sovereignty requirements by allowing explicit control over where data resides, with consistency guarantees varying by location type.
