Mistral AI is launching Forge, an enterprise platform for training custom frontier-grade AI models on proprietary organizational data. Unlike generic public models, Forge lets companies build models that internalize their internal knowledge, codebases, compliance policies, and workflows. It supports pre-training, post-training, and reinforcement learning pipelines, as well as both dense and mixture-of-experts architectures. The platform is designed to be agent-first, enabling autonomous agents to fine-tune models and manage training jobs using plain English. Early partners include ASML, Ericsson, and the European Space Agency. Use cases span government, finance, software development, and manufacturing.
