​Introducing BotID, invisible bot filtering for critical routes

Vercel launched BotID, an invisible bot detection system that protects critical application routes from sophisticated automated attacks. Unlike traditional CAPTCHAs, BotID runs silently in the background, collecting thousands of behavioral signals to distinguish human users from advanced bots that can execute JavaScript and mimic human behavior. The system offers two modes: Basic (free for all teams) and Deep Analysis powered by Kasada (for Pro and Enterprise teams). Implementation requires minimal code changes, with server-side verification handled through a single function call. BotID is designed to protect high-value endpoints like checkouts, logins, signups, and expensive API operations without impacting legitimate user experience.
