Finout has launched a generally available MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that exposes its full FinOps platform to any MCP-compatible AI client such as Claude, Copilot, or Cursor. Unlike basic cost-dashboard MCP integrations that only answer spend queries, Finout's server provides 21 tools covering anomaly detection, budget tracking, showback/chargeback, savings recommendations, commitment management, and governance. Setup is two clicks, and existing RBAC rules apply end-to-end. The announcement argues that the value of an MCP integration is bounded by the depth of the platform behind it, positioning Finout as the first MCP wired into a complete FinOps surface spanning planning, allocation, forecasting, and optimization.
