A comprehensive benchmark comparison between Intel Xeon 6980P Granite Rapids and AMD EPYC 9755 Turin processors, both 128-core parts tested in dual-socket configurations (256 cores/512 threads total). Testing was conducted on Ubuntu 25.10 with Linux 6.18 kernel and GCC 15.2, featuring nearly 200 benchmarks across various workloads. The Intel system used MRDIMM-8800 memory while the AMD system used DDR5-6400. Both raw performance and per-test CPU power consumption were measured to analyze power efficiency between the platforms.
