Intel will revert to using traditional off-package memory sticks for its future laptop chips, after the financial failure of Lunar Lake's on-package memory approach. Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger explained that the experimental design, initially aimed at niche high-performance laptops, relied heavily on costly external partners and materials. Additionally, Intel's discrete GPU efforts may also be discontinued due to limited success, with a shift towards enhancing integrated graphics instead.
