Colin Ian King, a prominent Linux kernel engineer with over 3,000 upstream patches and creator of Stress-NG benchmarking tools, has left Intel after nearly four years to join NVIDIA. This continues a trend of Intel losing Linux engineering talent due to layoffs and reorganizations, which has resulted in orphaned drivers and departing maintainers. King previously worked at Canonical for 13 years on Ubuntu Linux before joining Intel.
