Intel has officially announced the Core Series 3 processors, codenamed Wildcat Lake, built on the Intel 18A process node. These are value-oriented mobile chips positioned below the Core Ultra Series 3 Panther Lake SoCs. Intel claims up to 47% better single-threaded and 41% better multi-threaded performance compared to five-year-old Tiger Lake systems, plus 2.8x better GPU AI performance. The lineup ranges from the Core 7 360 (6 cores, 2 Xe GPU cores, 15W base/35W turbo) down to the Core 3 304 (5 cores, 1 Xe core). Laptops are available starting today, with edge systems shipping later in Q2. Linux kernel support for Wildcat Lake has been developed alongside Panther Lake support, suggesting good upstream compatibility.
