Intel appears to have discontinued its "On Demand" Software Defined Silicon program, which allowed customers to activate additional hardware features and accelerators on Xeon processors through software licensing. The feature, first introduced in 2021, enabled pay-per-use or one-time activation models for unlocking processor capabilities that were physically present but software-locked.
