Installing every* Firefox extension

A developer scraped all ~84,000 Firefox extensions using the public AMO API, analyzed the dataset, and attempted to install all of them simultaneously. The scraping required creative workarounds including multiple sort parameters and category filtering. Analysis revealed the largest extensions (up to 196 MB), phishing extensions using homoglyph attacks, SEO spam, PUA networks with 700k+ users (notably 'Innover Online Group Ltd'), and vibe-coded slop. The installation attempts escalated from VMs to a friend's machine with 49 GB of extensions, ultimately achieving a barely-functional Firefox with all 84,194 extensions loaded after multiple crashes, 6 hours for about:addons to load, and 400+ GB of disk writes. The dataset has been uploaded to Hugging Face.
