Adobe Photoshop Beta (version 27.5) has introduced a new 'Rotate Object' feature that uses AI to rotate any 2D photo in 3D space. The feature automatically creates a cutout of the subject, lets you adjust rotation and perspective, then generates a high-resolution result by using original texture where visible and AI-generating areas that weren't in the original image. It works well for product photography and simple subjects but struggles with geometrically complex objects like bicycles. Faces work reasonably for small rotations but degrade when rotated far enough to reveal unseen areas. The feature costs 20 Adobe credits per initial use but subsequent edits to the same rotation are free. Known issues include white halos around edges, low-resolution previews, and inability to work on editable text or shapes without rasterizing first. The feature requires an internet connection and is currently only available in Photoshop Beta.
