Redpanda announces a new Snowflake Connector in Redpanda Connect, available on AWS, GCP, and Azure. The connector leverages Snowpipe Streaming for high-throughput data ingestion and delivers up to 2X higher throughput compared to Kafka Connect on identical hardware. Benchmarks show Redpanda Connect achieved ~52K rows/second versus Kafka Connect's ~28K rows/second on 4 vCPU machines. The connector supports automatic schema management, uses YAML configuration, and works with various input sources including MQTT, Google Pub/Sub, and Postgres CDC.
