BAFTA pulled a trailer for indie narrative game The Quiet Things from its 2026 Game Awards ceremony, citing concerns that the content — which deals with childhood abuse, self-harm, and suicide — could be triggering to guests without adequate content warnings. Developer Alyx Jones of Silver Script Games says the decision came at the last minute despite her spending two weeks editing the trailer and making revisions at BAFTA's request. Jones says she offered to make immediate changes but was ignored, calling the experience 'devastating' given the game's deeply personal autobiographical nature. She has since uploaded the trailer to YouTube.
