India's Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued new guidance requiring internet-facing or critical systems to be patched, mitigated, or isolated within 12 hours of an actively exploited vulnerability being identified. The directive is driven in part by the accelerating threat posed by AI-assisted cyberattacks, which shorten the window between vulnerability disclosure and exploitation.
