May I suggest installing the following tools:
<ol>
<li>Get <a href="https://scoop.sh" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">scoop.sh</a>. It’s like <code>apt</code> and runs a little better than <code>chocolatey</code> imho.</li>
<li>(Optional) Install the git package. Scoop needs this to find software repos on <a href="http://github.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">github.com</a>.</li>
<li>Install the “Gnu on Windows” package with the following command: <code>scoop install gow</code>.</li>
<li>(Optional) Install the “sudo” package with the following command: <code>scoop install sudo</code>. This will temporarily elevate the command to run administrator-level commands.</li>

You’ve got the basics, but there’s so much more you can do after that to turn PowerShell into a linux-like terminal.
