But AI can become the developer’s version of “doomscrolling”: you feel like you’re productive, but in fact you’re conditioning your brain to get used to rapidly get rid of tasks instead of understanding them. And it can be really harmful when AI fails. Both for the person, and for the company as well

All the props to Karpathy and he’s not one of these horrible carnival barker C-suiters that have no technical skills overpromising. But he was talking 6 months ago about how easy it was to ‘go with the vibes’ and now he’s talking about how they are ‘fallible’. This may be a bit unfair, but I think he either didn’t realize or wasn’t noting the failures and difficulties of vibing. Looking back at ‘going with the vibes’ the tweet now seems quaint.
