A hands-on experience report of installing SteamOS on an old Intel Core i5-10210U-powered mini PC (a repurposed non-Steam device) and using it as a living room console. The setup boots directly into Steam's Big Picture mode, supports a wide range of controllers out of the box, and handles indie games and retro emulation well. While not suitable for demanding titles, it gives older hardware a new purpose and delivers a surprisingly polished console-like experience on a big screen TV.
