A hands-on comparison of three AI coding tools — Claude Code, Google's Antigravity, and Perplexity Computer — each given the same task: build a personal portfolio website with animations, a work archive, and an integrated AI chatbot. Perplexity Computer won decisively, delivering the most thorough research, a working chatbot, and a complete design on the first try. Claude Code produced a visually decent result but got stuck fetching articles. Antigravity was the weakest, delivering a broken chatbot, missing sections, and only 7 articles. Notably, Perplexity used both Gemini and Anthropic models under the hood — the same tech powering the other two tools — yet still outperformed them.
