I Tried NEW Package PAO: Save AI Tokens on Test Responses

A hands-on review of Pow, a new PHP package by Nuno Maduro that compresses output from PHPUnit, Pest, ParaTest, and PHPStan to reduce token usage when AI coding agents run tests. The video demonstrates the package in a Laravel 13 project using Cursor's agent mode with the Kimi K2.5 model, comparing token costs with and without Pow. Results were inconclusive due to Cursor dashboard logging issues, and the failed-test output didn't appear to be truncated in practice. The package is at v0.1 and uses an Agent Detector dependency to identify tools like Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code. Nuno Maduro hinted it may become default behavior in future Pest or Laravel versions.
