I’m almost on the other side, I love my esims, I can run multiple at the same time vs having to swap that damn plastic thing (and loose the others I’m carrying) also turning on/off/switching is a bliss.

Us buying the products allows the manufacturers doing these things.
If you do not want this, then do not buy the product.

Stop making this stuff mandatory. I switch SIM cards on a regular basis pretty much since I use mobile phones. Cannot imagine to survive with eSIM just as conveniently, especially if you just want to quickly &amp; temporarily switch.

I’ve had nothing but terrible experiences with eSims in foreign countries with 3 different eSim provider services as well, on Android. They rarely work, and it takes a lot of technical fiddling to get them to work for a while, which, for the average user, is a bigger hassle than just inserting a tiny piece of plastic in a phone. In every single time I had to find a free WiFi spot to be able to temporarily fix the issues.
