I started experiencing finger pain when I switched to a vertical mouse. Then I tried a less vertical, more business-oriented model from Logitech and somehow adapted. However, a simple, small mouse for a claw-grip remains irreplaceable.
So to be honest, this is nothing to do with “change mosue, and you will be better”.

Getting a split keyboard is the best thing I’ve done, mouse don’t really use anyway, Rider and vsCode has keybinds for almost anything

Been pretty happy with the logitech mx master though for a few years now.

I switched to vertical 2 months ago and will never go back. I needed a bit over a week to get used to it while it never felt uncomfortable, just unusual.
I’m using the Logitech lift which I recommend over the Logitech MX Vertical but you should try it yourself. I also really like that it offers horizontal scrolling too.
