I switched from VS Code's marketplace to Open VSX, and Microsoft's is the one falling behind

Open VSX Registry, maintained by the Eclipse Foundation, is a fully open-source, vendor-neutral alternative to Microsoft's VS Code extension marketplace. Unlike Microsoft's marketplace, Open VSX has no vendor lock-in, supports the same extension format, allows independent publishing, and integrates with CI/CD pipelines. It already covers most common development needs including Python, Java, PHP, Ruby, SQL, and AI coding extensions, making it a viable choice for VSCodium and other VS Code forks that cannot legally use Microsoft's marketplace.
