A personal account of combining Claude's browser extension (Claude in Chrome) with Google's NotebookLM to create a seamless research workflow. Previously, the author juggled three separate tools — an agentic browser, Claude, and NotebookLM — with lots of copy-pasting between them. The Claude in Chrome extension (currently in beta for paid plans) eliminates that friction by letting Claude browse the web, evaluate sources, and add them directly to NotebookLM notebooks without switching tabs. The author also uses this setup alongside Claude Code for technical documentation, with NotebookLM providing structured codebase context.
