Split Editors is a feature of a new vscode plugin for Vue called Volar. It divides React component code into several categories in a single file. Split editors then fold the unrelated code separately. The more detailed the code categories are, the better effect of split editors will be.

Hmm I feel like this is a common trend to split by type (eg. all numbers go to one file, all strings to another) instead of splitting by concern (these numbers and strings deal with users so they go here, these numbers and string deal with products so they go here) even though you should always try doing the latter instead of the former whenever possible.
It is actually more difficult to initially do but ends up always being the preferred way in the end - class components to function components in React; option API to composition API in Vue. Keeps the coupling low and cohesion high (which you should want).
I cannot shake the feeling this is taking a solution to a problem and creating an even bigger problem out of it.
