To add some perspective to this: for those pursuing the entrepreneurial path, it’s an incredible journey, but it’s worth noting there’s another viable option. I consider myself an “intrapreneur”—someone who works within large organizations to innovate and drive value. In just the last 40 days, as a full-time W2 employee, I’ve earned $28K…consistently for the last 4 years and its only going to increase…
This isn’t to downplay entrepreneurship—it’s fantastic if your goal is to be your own boss. For many, the risk and reward are worth it. However, for others, the W2 route can offer stability and significant perks. My role allows me to work about 30 hours a week, enjoy 300 hours of PTO, and still have the peace of mind that comes with a paycheck clearing every two weeks.
The key is knowing what you’re signing up for and choosing the path that aligns with your goals, values, and risk tolerance. Both paths have their own rewards—you just need to decide which juice is worth the squeeze for you.
