Gaming-focused distros such as Bazzite, Batocera, and Lakka come pre-configured with emulators and performance patches. Valve's Steam Deck has accelerated Linux game support by giving developers an incentive to enable compatibility. While some newer AAA titles with unsupported anti-cheat remain problematic, Linux covers most popular and older games and can in some cases outperform Windows in frame rates.
