I'm so productive but multi tasking is exhausting

When programming, overall no, I treat AI like an advanced search engine still steering when it diverges from my intention.
In my experience, when you let AI take full control with code changes you begin to lose the ‘mind’s eye visual’ in my head and that’s when the brain overloads, I’m missing context as a dev and thus confidence in the existing code base.
The worst example of brain load with AI has been other peers making entire PRs led by AI e.g. poorly named/formatted code, working but poor performance/cleanliness

Getting things done doesn’t mean that next things will be easier.
Actually, the faster you “get things done” with AI, you have less time to assimilate what you’ve done in first place. In the long run, I hope you don’t need to touch your older code, because it will feel much harder to catch up.

The human brain can only do one task at a time. People, who think they are multi-tasking, are actually constantly switching between one task and another, usually reducing outcome quality in all tasks, the more tasks you supposedly do “at the same time”.

I feel it in the way that I need to think even more about potentially mistakes done by AI…that is the work I need to do in addition compared to the old times. 🤯
It is like you have medior pair programmer next to you…it helps you do things faster but you KNOW that sometimes he does terrible mistakes.
