I'm fed up with it, so I'm writing a browser

A developer, frustrated with the increasing corporate control and enshittification of web browsers and the internet, announces they are building an open-source browser from scratch. Motivated partly by a desire to push back against monopolistic browser vendors and partly by a long-held personal goal, they acknowledge the project may never be finished or widely adopted, but hope it will inspire others to build alternatives. The project, called gosub-browser, is written in Rust and is available on GitHub.
