If your resume has so many years of experience, coding tests are a waste of time. Sometimes it takes time to figure out a solution right away. I believe companies should hire bases on team project experiences and what you have worked on.

Aside from what others have said, I think if I were in your shoes, this experience would have me doing one of two things. Either I simply wouldn’t work there, full-stop. Or, the minute I’m hired, I’d change the hiring process. Unfortunately, I highly doubt a new hire can achieve the latter, even if you’re going into a Senior+ role…

Great overview of your experience and great job of giving a comparison highlighting what you think is a good experience. I agree with why they were even asking about Kubernetes and Docker. I also am confused about why there were no questions about semantic HTML since accessibility seemed to be one of their priorities.
Your hiring process you were a part of at Yahoo was similar to an interview process I did a little over a year ago. I was given a design and had to create it with code. Although in my interview with a recruiter I was not asked about it at all.
