Had to switch to windows to work on something for a while, When i finaly was able to go back to pop os my brother asks me why i do this when it stops me from playing most online games, My answer was…idk.
1.I like not having to have an anti virus (instead i like to bottle everything).
2.and being able to use terminal commands is alot easier than managing the system manually.
Which are the reasons i give most the time but i don’t know exactly why i feel alot better with a linux distro than using windows.
When i use windows i always feel annoyed even though everything works.
When i use linux something breaks and i laugh then spend alot of time fixing it with a smile on my face.
What kind of dilemma is this idk but maybe im not alone.

You aren’t. Maybe I don’t share the “happy” attitude towards errors in Linux, but even in the frustration, I know I’m learning something new, useful and fun.
Besides all the Microsoft bs, Linux is just plainly a better designed system overall, and friendlier with developers.
With everyday users this could be the other way around, but the fact that it teaches you to think, it’s invaluable to me.

Imo, it’s all about how it feels and how it makes you think for me.
PS: I loved distro-hopping and trying new stuff. When I finally decided on one, felt like I was home.

Well, there could be a couple of reasons for it. For me the reasons are:
<ul>
<li>customizability - I can customize the whole experience to my needs (or specific workflow quirks that everyone has); Windows is a “one for all” expericence, and so is MacOS (however it tries to be “out of the way”, so it doesn’t bother that much);</li>
<li>ease of mind - no background info sent anywere by the system (well, that depends on the distro, but most of the time that’s the case);</li>
<li>hardware’s ease of mind - yeah, I know how it sounds, but bear with me for a moment: ever since Windows Vista came, the whole OS forgot who to be idle - every moment of it being on, it constantly does something (CPU, disk activity, etc. - they never go down entirely); with Linux it’s not the case - when it doesn’t have anything to do, it actually does nothing.</li>

My main pain point would be the OS being adaptible to the user (Linux) vs the user needing to be adaptible to the OS (Windows, MacOS).
You probably have your own reasons. You just need to think a bit about them. I had a problem making the above list, as I stopped thinking about it a long time ago. Using Linux just feels more natural. 😉

Honestly, I just love that, since I’m obscenely color-blind I can change to a better desktop that isn’t wastefully using CPU cycles to make something pretty. Itd be lost on me anyway, so I want the power of my machine to be doing work, not making it look fancy. And. I love that I can add packages that do what I want with minimal effort.

I love the control it gives me on my hardware.
As a developer, it is unbeatable to have a linux dev environment.
The errors and weird issues start decrease the more you learn.
All the games I care about playing run perfectly fine on Linux.
No tracking at the kernel level, no ads on my app menus, no barriers to UI, etc.
And what’s super cool is you can talk directly to all the developers of any part of the system, the task bar, the terminal, the browser, the file manager, etc.
Sometimes you run into grumpy and rude devs, sometimes you’re the dev dealing with entitled users. But overall it is a much better experience (after the initial pains of using linux) than any other OS.

it’s because of the freedom, you know that you can break anything you want, and same way you can fix it… or you may not and just keep living with that 🙂and no one will say it’s wrong, it’s just the way you want it to be, it’s just the way you live.
