Genjutsu is an open-source, developer-focused social platform where all posts, comments, and interactions are hard-deleted after 24 hours via a pg_cron job. Built with React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion, and Supabase, it aims to reduce performance anxiety by removing permanent records. The platform features a manga-inspired aesthetic and real-time feeds. The comments discuss moderation challenges on ephemeral platforms, including hard-delete mechanics, a minimal reports table using salted content hashes for abuse pattern detection, and planned rate limiting with per-user cooldowns.
