I just open-sourced LokcalDev — a local development environment manager I built because I was tired of paying $79 for MAMP PRO.
** What it does:**

<li>Nginx + site management with WordPress, Laravel &amp; Fat-Free templates</li>
<li>MariaDB + phpMyAdmin built in</li>
<li>Auto SSL via mkcert — no more “Not Secure” warnings</li>
<li>Local DNS management (auto hosts file editing)</li>
</ul>
Built with Tauri 2.0 + Rust backend, so it’s fast and lightweight (~15MB) — not another Electron memory hog.
Available for macOS (ARM64) and Windows (x64).

LokcalDev is an open-source local development environment manager built with Tauri 2.0 and Rust as a free alternative to MAMP PRO. It provides multi-version PHP support (8.1-8.4), Nginx with site templates for WordPress and Laravel, MariaDB with phpMyAdmin, automatic SSL via mkcert, and local DNS management. The app is lightweight at ~15MB and available for macOS ARM64 and Windows x64.
