Amazon's VegaOS (formerly Kepler) is a Linux-based framework that lets React Native developers build Fire TV apps without learning a new platform. The tutorial covers installing the VegaOS SDK, setting up the VS Code extension and virtual device, building a multi-screen app with navigation, focus management, TV remote event handling, and using supported third-party libraries like QR code SVG. A second demo shows how to structure a monorepo combining an Expo mobile app and a VegaOS TV app with shared UI components, including live reload setup for both targets simultaneously.
