So long as they don’t feature lock things in code, I don’t see a problem with this. The only thing you’re really paying for is direct access to devs.

yeah nah this is great actualy, you only really get access to devs since the beauty of hyprland is building your own unique experience the way you want it, which you do lose with preconfigured dotfiles

Easier installs with pre-configured stuff and official support is a good offer for those who don’t want to configure everything themselves.
I hope the dev team can get paid enough to work on Hyprland and it’s other tools. Especially since Hyprland has been pushing changes to Wayland without a decade of mostly meaningless fights.
