HTTPie has launched HTTPie AI, an AI-powered assistant integrated into its web and desktop API clients. The feature lets users generate HTTP requests using natural language prompts instead of manually constructing them. Users can describe either the low-level request components or high-level intent, and the AI generates the corresponding request. Built on OpenAI's GPT-3 models, it's available for free during preview. The team also contributed back to the openai-python library, reducing its installation size by ~7x. A more capable HTTPie AI 2.0 with Chat is planned.
