DEV, a Rails monolith with Preact in the front-end, heavily utilizes data attributes for its data store, instead of using a state management library like Redux or Zustand.

<p>I think this post missed an important point, if we use these attributes values to display something on the screen, does the dom change when data attribute changes? If that’s not the case then I don’t see how they can be compared with state management libraries.</p>
