HPE is launching an agentic AI operations system as part of its OpsRamp platform, currently in beta and expected to go GA in 2026. The system uses skills-based AI agents — specialized with domain-specific operational knowledge — to assist SRE and DevOps teams with root cause analysis, cutting investigation time by at least half for early adopters. Rather than replacing human operators, the agents work alongside them: surfacing hypotheses, tracing change history, and synthesizing findings, while requiring human approval before any remediation actions. The approach addresses growing ops team burnout, alert fatigue, and the complexity of hybrid/multi-cloud environments. Key design principles include full audit trails, transparent reasoning steps, and OpenTelemetry-based observability to build operator trust.
